I recently traveled to San Francisco for a conference. After the first day, I decided to head out to Fort Point in San Francisco to capture a shot of the Golden Gate bridge. Unfortunately, the entire time I was there it was either raining or overcast...clearly not something that happens a lot in California.
I setup my tripod and started taking some bracketed shots. I noticed the waves were getting stronger, but I didn't bother to move figuring I'd be OK. Then all of the sudden a wave cam crashing up over the rock line and completely drenched me and my camera! I was soaked! I quickly dried off my camera, but it's not easy drying off a camera with a wet jacket. After about 10 minutes I was able dry it off completely...and then it wouldn't turn back on. Fortunately it finally flicked back on after a few more minutes.
This shot was taken AFTER my drenched camera...and drenched me. I was freezing cold, the temperature was dropping, and this was one of the last few shots I snapped off.
